Artist and Venue Member Agreement

Agreement and eligibility

This agreement applies whenever you create, claim, access, or manage an artist or venue account, including a free account.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this agreement. If you act for an artist, venue, business, band, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to accept this agreement on its behalf.

The Terms of Use and any Privacy Policy published through the Service also apply to your use of the Service.

Your authority

You confirm that you are authorized to create, claim, and manage the artist or venue account and its associated profile, events, locations, media, links, and business information.

You may not impersonate another artist, venue, organization, or representative or claim a profile without authorization.

Account security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity performed through your account.

You must promptly notify us if you believe your account has been accessed or used without authorization.

You are responsible for managing access when a band member, employee, contractor, booking agent, or other representative joins or leaves your organization.

Profile-control disputes

If ownership or control of a profile is disputed, we may temporarily restrict access or changes while reviewing the available information.

We may request identification, business records, domain or email verification, authorization documents, or other evidence. We may transfer, restrict, or remove control when reasonably necessary based on the evidence available to us.

We are not responsible for resolving internal band, employment, agency, management, ownership, or business disputes.

Accurate information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and nonmisleading information and to promptly correct changes to:

• Event dates, times, and locations.
• Cancellations, postponements, and sold-out status.
• Admission prices, fees, and ticket links.
• Age restrictions.
• Accessibility information.
• Food and beverage availability.
• Artist, venue, and business details.
• Contact information and availability.

You must not knowingly publish an event that has not been confirmed or represent that an artist or venue is participating without authorization.

Discovered listings and profile claims

See Local Music may use automated tools, search providers, third-party services, and publicly available sources to discover potential events and create basic, unclaimed artist or venue listings. Discovered information may be omitted, delayed, incomplete, duplicated, incorrectly attributed, or inaccurate.

A discovered event is not a verified listing, even if it is later associated with a verified artist or venue. Events entered or actively maintained through an authorized artist or venue account may be identified as verified listings, but verification does not guarantee that an event will occur or that every detail remains current.

If you claim a discovered profile or assume management of related information, you confirm that you are authorized to do so. You agree to review the profile and associated events, correct inaccurate information, remove events that do not belong to you, and keep future information current.

We may retain source and provenance records, combine duplicate information, decline a proposed match, detach an event from a profile, or remove a discovered listing. Claiming a profile does not transfer ownership of third-party content or make See Local Music responsible for the source information.

Events and venue responsibilities

You are responsible for events and locations you publish, including schedules, admission terms, age restrictions, accessibility representations, safety, staffing, insurance, permits, licenses, taxes, and compliance with applicable laws.

Do not publish a private residential address or other sensitive location without authorization.

We may combine duplicate listings, standardize formatting, and correct apparent typographical errors. You remain responsible for reviewing your listings and correcting substantive errors.

See Local Music is a discovery platform and is not an organizer, promoter, venue operator, ticket seller, employer, or party to your events or agreements.

Relationships between members

Artists, venues, promoters, and other members communicate, negotiate, book performances, and enter into agreements directly with each other.

See Local Music is not a party to those arrangements and is not responsible for:

• Booking terms or cancellations.
• Payment, deposits, refunds, or taxes.
• Performance quality or attendance.
• Equipment, staffing, sound, lighting, or production.
• Insurance, permits, or music licensing.
• Injuries, security, or property damage.
• Disputes between members or third parties.

You are responsible for evaluating other members and documenting your arrangements independently.

Content ownership and permissions

You retain any ownership rights you hold in content you submit.

You represent that you have all rights, licenses, releases, consents, and permissions necessary to submit and use the content. This includes rights relating to photographs, artwork, flyers, logos, trademarks, music, sound recordings, compositions, videos, names, likenesses, and identifiable individuals.

Each time you upload an image, you confirm that you own it or have permission to upload it and allow See Local Music to store and display it. You must not submit content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights.

License to submitted content

You grant See Local Music a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, crop, resize, adapt for technical display, distribute, publicly display, and otherwise make your submitted content available as necessary to operate, improve, and promote the Service and its listings.

The license permits our hosting, analytics, content-delivery, and other service providers to process or display uploaded images on our behalf. Externally hosted videos remain hosted by their third-party providers and are displayed through those providers’ embedding tools.

You also permit us to use the artist or venue name, logo, profile images, and publicly submitted content to promote the Service, including through search previews, emails, social-media posts, and advertisements for See Local Music.

This license ends when the content is removed or the account is closed, except that copies may remain temporarily in backups, caches, legal records, analytics, and promotional materials created or distributed before removal.

We are not required to store or provide copies of submitted content. You should retain your own originals.

Third-party and embedded content

If you link to or embed content from Spotify, YouTube, Vimeo, social networks, ticket sellers, or other third-party services, your use of that content remains subject to the third party’s terms.

When you submit a video link, you confirm that you are authorized to share it and that the video, including its music, performance, images, and other included material, may be embedded on See Local Music. We display the video through its third-party provider; we do not host it or claim ownership of it.

We may remove or disable a link or integration if the provider changes its service, restricts access, requires removal, or if we receive a rights-holder complaint or reasonably suspect infringement.

Verification

We may offer profile-claiming or verification features and may request supporting information.

Verification means only that we reviewed specified information using our process. It is not an endorsement, background check, guarantee of identity, or guarantee of a member’s licensing, safety, reliability, qualifications, or performance.

We may revoke or change verification when information becomes outdated, inaccurate, disputed, or unverifiable.

Featured and sponsored placement

Certain profiles, events, or content may receive featured, promoted, or sponsored placement.

Paid placement does not constitute an endorsement and does not guarantee a particular search position, number of views, booking, attendance level, or financial result.

Search results, recommendations, rankings, and placement may change as the Service evolves.

Fees and recurring billing

Some member features require a paid membership.

Before purchase, we will disclose the price, billing period, included features, trial terms, renewal terms, and cancellation method. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge the disclosed amount, applicable taxes, and authorized recurring charges to your selected payment method.

Paid memberships automatically renew for the period and price disclosed at checkout unless canceled before the applicable renewal date.

If a trial converts to a paid membership, the conversion date and price will be disclosed before enrollment.

When required by law, we will provide advance renewal notices. We will also provide advance notice of material price changes. A new price will apply beginning with the renewal following the notice unless you cancel before that renewal.

You are responsible for maintaining accurate billing information.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel a paid membership through your account’s billing settings or through another cancellation method disclosed at checkout.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless otherwise disclosed, paid features remain available through the end of the current billing period.

Except where required by law or expressly stated during checkout, payments are nonrefundable, and we do not provide prorated refunds or credits for partially used billing periods.

If we terminate a membership for a serious or repeated violation, fraud, abuse, chargeback misuse, or unlawful conduct, you will not be entitled to a refund except where required by law.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we or our payment processor may retry it. We may suspend paid features or downgrade the account until payment is completed.

You remain responsible for amounts properly incurred before cancellation or termination.

Payment processing is subject to the payment provider’s terms and privacy practices.

Acceptable use

In addition to the Terms of Use, you may not:

• Publish false, unauthorized, or misleading profiles or events.
• Manipulate views, rankings, reviews, analytics, or engagement.
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited marketing.
• Upload unlawful, malicious, abusive, or infringing content.
• Collect or misuse visitor or member information.
• Sell, transfer, or provide account access without authorization.
• Use one account to evade a suspension or restriction.
• Offer fraudulent tickets, bookings, promotions, or business opportunities.
• Misrepresent paid placement, verification, popularity, availability, or affiliations.

Moderation and account action

We may review, reformat, restrict, unpublish, or remove content and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this agreement, the Terms of Use, applicable law, or the rights and safety of others.

We may also act to address fraud, security threats, disputed profile control, payment failures, legal requests, technical problems, or harm to the Service.

We are not obligated to monitor every profile, event, communication, or submission.

Account closure and termination

You may close your account at any time. Closing an account does not automatically create a refund or cancel amounts already owed.

When an account is closed or terminated, member access ends and we may remove or disable associated content. Some public information may remain if it was obtained from another authorized member, a third-party provider, or a publicly available source.

We may retain records as reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, billing, dispute resolution, and enforcement.

Provisions concerning ownership, licenses already exercised, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limitations, indemnification, disputes, and record retention survive termination where appropriate.

No guaranteed results

We do not guarantee that membership, verification, advertising, featured placement, analytics, or other features will produce bookings, attendance, revenue, exposure, profile views, search placement, or any other result.

Analytics and audience measurements may be estimated, delayed, incomplete, or affected by automated traffic and third-party systems.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless See Local Music and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and reasonable legal expenses arising from:

• Content or information you submit.
• An event, location, promotion, or transaction for which you are responsible.
• Your relationship or dispute with another member or third party.
• Your violation of law or another person’s rights.
• Your breach of this agreement.

We will provide reasonable notice of a covered claim and may control its defense and settlement. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by or imposes obligations on See Local Music without our written consent.

Service availability and liability

The Service is provided “as is” and may change or experience interruptions.

The disclaimers and liability limitations in the Terms of Use apply to your membership and use of member features.

To the extent permitted by law, See Local Music is not responsible for event cancellations, member conduct, third-party transactions, lost revenue, lost bookings, travel costs, equipment costs, or indirect losses.

Changes to this agreement

We may update this agreement by publishing a revised version and changing the “Last updated” date.

For material changes, we may provide additional notice or require you to accept the revised agreement before continuing to use member features. Changes apply prospectively from their effective date.

Related terms and priority

This agreement supplements the Terms of Use and any Privacy Policy published through the Service.

If this agreement conflicts with the Terms of Use regarding artist or venue accounts, submitted content, member features, or paid memberships, this agreement controls solely with respect to those matters.
